Pick up your handset. Start by pressing the Messages button on your phone. The voicemail system will ask for your pass code followed by the pound key. It will then announce how many messages you have waiting in your mailbox, and then give you a menu of options.
NOTE: If no selection is made, the system will take you one menu up.
Press 6 to enter the “Greetings Menu”
Press 1 to record your voicemail greeting. You will now be asked to enter a number for the greeting you wish to record. This feature will allow you to have up to 9 recording and you can select the one you wish to use at a particular time.
Record your greeting after the tone, press # when you have finished
Press 1 to select that recording
If you wish to review the greeting from the “Greeting Menu” press 2 to review your greeting, you will be asked to enter the number of the greeting you wish to review
When you have decided on what greeting to use from the “Greetings Menu” press 3 and enter the number of the recording you want to use.
Hang up when you are satisfied with your greeting.

How To Make Yealink T41P Accept A Bluetooth Device / Headset
If you’re looking to use a headset that is Bluetooth compatible with Yealink, the Yealink T41P is not compatible with Bluetooth out of the box — additional customization is required. If you need a Bluetooth compatible phone, you can use the Yealink T46G or any of the Polycom VVX series phones. Alternatively, you can use a Polycom Bluetooth adapter for headsets, or a base station type Bluetooth headset.

How To Connect Your Yealink Phone To Bluetooth
To connect a Yealink phone to Bluetooth, you can use a USB Dongle BT41, Yealink Bluetooth adapter, or a Yealink wireless headset adapter. The dongle lets your phone connect to a wide variety of Bluetooth compatible headsets for Yealink phones.
To connect the headset, follow the steps below:
Turn on the headset.
Long press the multifunction key on the headset until you see a flashing red and blue light.
Plug in the USB dongle.
Activate Bluetooth on the phone by referring to the phone’s user manual.
Select the Scan option on the phone. The phone will then display all detected Bluetooth headsets within a 32 feet radius. Select your Bluetooth headset to complete the Yealink Bluetooth pairing process.
How To Set Up Polycom Phones For Bluetooth
To use a Bluetooth headset with your Polycom phone, the first thing to do is enable Bluetooth. Then, pair your headset and connect your Bluetooth device to the phone. Follow the steps below:
Go to Settings > Basic > Bluetooth Settings.
Select Bluetooth and make sure it’s set to On. You should see the Bluetooth icon in the status bar.
Turn on your Bluetooth device and make sure it’s in Discovery mode.
Return to Bluetooth Settings on your Polycom phone and select the option Manage Devices.
Press the Scan option. The phone will then detect all available Bluetooth devices in the area.
Select your headset from the list of available devices.
Press the Pair option to complete the Polycom Bluetooth pairing process.
Select Connect. You should see the Bluetooth headset icon and a message telling you the device has been connected.
Keep in mind that you can pair up to five Bluetooth devices or headsets with your Polycom phone. However, only one headset at a time can be connected to the phone. So let that serve as a bit of a Polycom headset compatibility guide. It’s also worth mentioning that your Polycom phone will always connect to the last connected Bluetooth device after the phone has been restarted.
Which Bluetooth Compatible Devices Work Best With Polycom Phones?
It can be confusing to find the best Bluetooth compatible device for your Polycom phone, especially if it belongs to the Polycom VVX series. Different phone models have different headset options, not to mention different built-in ports. Generally speaking, Plantronics and Jabra Evolve headsets are compatible with most Polycom phones, but you may need a Polycom headset adapter to complete the setup.

5000 is a global code that we use to reference voicemail, specifically a prompt that asks what voicemail box you want to go to. 5001 is more appropriate as it goes to the voicemail box of the extension you are calling from. (When you hit the Mail or Message icon on your phone it’s actually sending 5001 to the server).
From there, the automated system asks you for your pin number and then allows you into the system to perform the functions outlined in the table below. All options are read to you by the phone system, but this table allows you to easily skip through the menus without listening to each option.

Before setting it up, download the Bria Softphone. Now you can follow the instructions below to get your softphone up and running.
When installing Bria 4 the program will ask you if you want to use Manual or Auto provisioning. Please select Manual.
Setup
To configure your Bria 4 Softphone, open Softphone/Account Settings. Choose Account Settings from the Softphone menu. You can also click on the blue Account Settings link below.
Account Settings
Account Name: this name will be displayed locally on your Bria softphone for this particular account.
Protocol: leave as SIP.
User ID: enter your extension. (Obtained from support.)
Domain: enter your domain name. This is the part of your email address following the @ character.
Password: enter your password. (Obtained from support.)
Display name: this will be displayed to the person you are speaking with.
Authorization name: enter your User ID again.
Domain Proxy: for this section check Register with domain and receive calls. Then select Proxy Address and enter nms.vofm.us.
Dial plan: leave the default settings.
Voicemail Settings
Enter the settings below. For sending calls to voicemail replace the X’s with your extension number.

The following guide provides details to setup a firewall through your SonicWALL network security device. The instructions will work on many TZ- and NSA-series devices. However, they will not work on the SonicWALL TZ-170.
If you have a SonicWALL device and Fastmetrics business phone service, configure your SonicWALL and test that phone calls work. Misconfiguration of your network security device may lead to your phone(s) not ringing or calls dropping out.
We recommend following the below steps and also checking settings are correct via this PDF.
Setup your SonicWALL firewall for Voice over Fastmetrics (VoFM)
Setup Address Object
Network > Address Objects
Select Custom Address Objects
Under Address Objects click Add

Buddy Lists allow you to monitor the status and presence of up to 8 other lines. This is different than contacts – which allow you to make calls from a personal phone list.
The status of your buddies is displayed and updated in real time. Your phone canbe “watched” by up to 8 other phones.
To view and change your presence settings:
Press Menu Button.
Select Features, then Presence, My Status.
Use and to scroll through the list.
Press to select your new status.
This affects information sent to phones watching you. Presence information will also be sent to watching phones when you go off-hook or enable Do Not Disturb.
To add or delete a contact from your buddy list:
Press the Dir soft key.
Use and to scroll through the list to find the contact.
Press to select the entry.
Press repeatedly until the Watch Buddy field appears.
Press to select the Watch Buddy field.
Use and to switch between Enabled and Disabled settings.
When Watch Buddy is enabled, the contact is added to your buddy list. When Watch Buddy is disabled, the contact is removed from your buddy list. The default for Watch Buddy is Disabled.
Press the Ok or Cancel soft keys to accept or cancel changes.
To block or unblock a contact from your buddy list:
Press the Dir soft key.
Use and to scroll through the list to find the contact.
Press to select the entry.
Press repeatedly until the Block Buddy field appears.
Press to select the Block Buddy field.
Use and to switch between Enabled and Disabled settings.
When Block Buddy is enabled, the contact cannot watch your phone. When Block Buddy is disabled, the contact can watch your phone. The default for Block Buddy is Disabled.
Press the Ok or Cancel soft keys to accept or cancel changes.
To search for a contact in your personal directory:
Press the Dir soft key.
Select your contact directory by pressing .
Search for a contact using the dial pad.
The first time a dial pad key is pressed, the first entry whose last name starts with a character that matches the first letter on the key label will be retrieved.
The second key press repeats the process using the second letter on the key and so on. For example, to find the first directory entry whose last name starts with J, press the 5 key once.
To find the first entry whose last name starts with R, press the 7 key three times.
Search the corporate directory:
Press the Dir soft key.
Select your contact directory by pressing .
Search for the contact in one of the following ways:
In the search line, enter the first few characters of the contacts’s last name using the dial pad. For example, to search for James Woller, enter wo in the search line, or press the Submit soft key. In this example, James Woller appears in the search results.
Press the AdvFind soft key, enter search values in the displayed fields. For example, enter Smith as the last name.
Press the Submit soft key. In this example, Bob Smith appears in the search results.
You can dial any successful matches from the resulting information on the graphic display.
