    Polycom SoundStation 6000 – Connect Network and Power

    There are two ways to connect your Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 conference pod to your network and a power source.

    Your System Administrator can tell you which of the following methods best suits your teleconferencing needs:

    Connect Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 using PoE source

    • Connect one end of the 25-foot Network Cable to the LAN jack on the phone.
    • Connect the other end of the 25-foot Network Cable.

    Connect Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 using AC power

    Make sure you have the optional AC Power Kit from Polycom available. The AC Power Kit contains a Power Adapter, Regional Power Cord, and a Power Insertion Cable.

    • Plug in one end of the 25-foot Network Cable to the LAN jack on the phone.
    • Plug in the other end of the 25-foot Network Cable to the Power Insertion Cable.
    • Connect the Power Insertion Cable to an available LAN port on the wall or hub/switch device port.
    • Connect the Power Adapter to the Power Insertion Cable.
    • Connect the Power Adapter (with the attached Regional Power Cord) to the wall outlet.

    Prerequisites For Bria iPhone Edition

    • Have your authorized administrator contact Fastmetrics support at 415-778-5103 or via support@fastmetrics.com to obtain a username and password.
    • Purchase and install Bria iPhone Edition from the iTunes App Store.

    How To Setup Bria iPhone Edition

    Install Bria on your iPhone

    Step 1: Under User-defined Accounts select SIP – Making Calls.

    Step 2:

    Enter your account information:

    • Account Name: Fastmetrics
    • Display as: Your Name or Company Name
    • Username: Your Fastmetrics Provided Username
    • Password: Your Fastmetrics Provided Password
    • Domain: typically the same domain as your email
    • VM Number: 5001

    Step 3: Select Account Advanced.

    Step 4:

    Make the following changes on the Account Advanced screen:

    • Out. Proxy: nms.vofm.us
    • Global IP Mobile: Off
    • Refresh Interval: 60

    Press Done in the upper right corner. Go back to the top and press New SIP Account.

    Step 5: Enable the account by toggling the Enabled switch.

    If successful, you will see ‘Registered’ at the top of the screen. You are now able to make and receive calls via a WiFi connection. If you wish to use Bria while on your mobile carrier’s data network, continue to the next step.

    Step 6: Bria can be setup to use your mobile carrier’s data plan to make and receive phone calls. The quality of these calls is dependent on your signal and the carrier’s network. Go to Preferences by pressing Accounts, then Settings, then Preferences.

    Step 7: Under the Mobile Data Network section toggle the Use When Available switch to On. Another switch appears called Allow VoIP Calls, toggle this to On.

    Setup of Bria app on iPhone is now complete, enabling you make / receive calls via WiFi using no data, or via your mobile carrier network, which will use a data allowance, if applicable.
