Speed Dial entries are consecutively placed next to assigned line keys on the phone. When a new entry is added to the Contact List, it is automatically assigned the next available speed dial index.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To change a Speed Dial key assignment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press <strong>Menu<\/strong> button and select <strong>Features, Contact Directory<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Highlight an existing directory entry and press <strong>Edit<\/strong>, or press and hold the line key which already has a speed dial number assigned to it. That contact in the directory will automatically be displayed.<\/li>\n<li>If a speed dial index already exists, delete it by pressing the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/polycom-430-right.png\" alt=\"Polycom 430 Right arrow\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/> key and then the <strong>&lt;&lt;<\/strong> softkey.<\/li>\n<li>If desired, enter a new speed dial index.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Save<\/strong> to confirm or <strong>Cancel<\/strong> to abandon the change then press <strong>Exit<\/strong> to return to the idle display.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Idle display could now be as shown.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-892\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/430-speed-dial.png\" alt=\"Polycom SoundPoint 430 - Speed Dial\" width=\"336\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/430-speed-dial.png 336w, https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/430-speed-dial-300x157.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>To dial a number assigned to a Line Key:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press the line key directly opposite the number on the display.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To quickly view a complete list of assigned speed dial entries:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-855\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/polycom-430-up.png\" alt=\"Polycom 430 Up button\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/> from the idle display.<\/li>\n<li>Dial directly from a selected number.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pre-assigned numbers can be associated with speed dial entries for rapid automated dialing.
