Contact your system administrator for full details.<\/p>\n<p>You can add, delete, edit, dial, or search for any contact in this list through just a few key strokes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To add or edit a contact:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press <strong>Menu<\/strong> button and select <strong>Features, Contact Directory<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>More<\/strong> and then <strong>Add<\/strong> to enter another contact into the phone\u2019s database or highlight an existing entry then press <strong>Edit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter first and\/or last name from the keypad.<\/li>\n<li>Press the <strong>1\/A\/a<\/strong> soft key to select between numeric and upper\/ lower case alphanumeric modes.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>More<\/strong> and then <strong>Encode<\/strong> to access special characters in other languages if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Contact number. This is a required field and it must be unique (not already in the directory). The Speed Dial Index will automatically be assigned the next available index value.<\/li>\n<li>Ring Type and Divert Contact may be left blank.<\/li>\n<li>Use <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-852\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/polycom-430-left.png\" alt=\"Polycom 430 Left arrow\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/> and <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-854\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/polycom-430-right.png\" alt=\"Polycom 430 Right arrow\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/> to switch between Enabled and Disabled settings for the last four fields.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Save<\/strong> to confirm or <strong>Cancel<\/strong> to abandon the changes then press <strong>Menu<\/strong> button or the <strong>Exit<\/strong> soft keys to return to the idle display.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Contacts can be easily added from Call Lists.
