Or, to have a different ring from your colleagues \/ neighbor\u2019s on your Polycom SoundPoint 650 phone.<\/p>\n<p>You can set distinctive incoming ringing tones for contacts in your local directory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To change the incoming ring to a desired sound:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press <strong>Menu<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Settings<\/strong> followed by <strong>Basic, Ring Type<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<em>Optional &#8211; If multiple lines are configured on your phone, first select the line to change from the list using the arrow keys.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Using the arrow keys, highlight the desired ring type.<\/li>\n<li>Press the <strong>Play<\/strong> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Soft key\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Soft_key\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">soft key<\/a> to hear the selected ring type.<\/li>\n<li>Press the <strong>Select<\/strong> soft key to change to the selected ring type.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Menu<\/strong> button or the <strong>Exit<\/strong> soft key repeatedly to return to the idle display.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-790\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/650-ring-type.png\" alt=\"Polycom SoundPoint 650 Ring Type\" width=\"240\" height=\"149\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can select from various different ring types to distinguish between lines.
