Just select the <\/span>X-Lite software for Mac<\/span> instead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When learning <\/span>how to set up an X-Lite softphone<\/span>, you need to meet the minimum system requirements to complete the installation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Here are the requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n You can place <\/span>outbound calls<\/span> using the dialer, Contacts, Favorites, History, or Messages <\/span>menu bar<\/span> options while on your main <\/span>account screen<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To place a call with the dialer, follow these step-by-step<\/span> instructions<\/span>: Enter the name or the number you wish to call. If the number you want to call is an extension, include the <\/span>extension number <\/span>as well.<\/span><\/p>\n If you want to place a call while you\u2019re in the <\/span>Contacts <\/b>or <\/span>Favorites <\/b>menu, enter a name or scroll through the list to find the correct contact. Then, use the <\/span>click-to-call <\/b>button or the shortcut menu.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you want to make a call from <\/span>History<\/b>, start by going through the list to find the contact you want. Then, click on the <\/span>Make a call<\/b> icon or use the Contact fly-out <\/span>drop-down menu<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To place a call using the <\/span>Messages<\/b> menu, click on the conversation with the person you want to call. Then, use the <\/span>Make a call <\/b>icon to place your call. You can accept <\/span>incoming calls<\/span> in the same way, as well as listen to <\/span>voicemail<\/span> if you miss a call.<\/span><\/p>\n You can also make changes to your account at any time by going to <\/span>Account Settings<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To record a call using X-Lite, press the <\/span>More<\/b> menu option in the <\/span>softphone application<\/span>. Select <\/span>Start Recording<\/b>. You\u2019ll see a blinking red dot indicating the call is being recorded.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To stop the recording, all you have to do is end the call. Alternatively, press the <\/span>Stop Recording<\/b> option.<\/span><\/p>\n You can populate your contact list in several ways.
