Similar to the CardDAV protocol, CalDAV makes use of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cloudwards.net\/what-is-webdav\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WebDAV protocol<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to share calendar data in the iCalendar format.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This protocol allows multiple devices and apps to access your calendar data, simplifies cooperative planning, and gives you greater control over data sharing settings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CalDAV protocol relies on the internet to work and requires data to be stored on a central server. Therefore, you will need to use the built-in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Calendar application <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to sync and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">set up a CalDAV account on Mac<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, you can sync an<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> iCal server <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with Outlook for Mac. You\u2019ll need to subscribe to the iCloud calendar and add it to Outlook Web Access. Once you\u2019ve done that, it will instantly act as a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CalDAV synchronizer<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with Outlook for Mac.
