What Is CardDAV<\/strong>?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CardDAV<\/span> is an open internet protocol that\u2019s used to sync <\/span>contact data<\/span> on your phone.\u00a0<\/span>CardDAV<\/span> is based on the WebDAV protocol and uses <\/span>vCard format<\/span><\/a> to sync contact information. This protocol is used to sync corporate contacts from the <\/span>CardDAV server<\/span> to a business or corporation’s managed <\/span>mobile devices<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Reset CardDAV Password<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your <\/span>CardDAV account password<\/span> is the same password that you use for your email account. If you get a message stating that your <\/span>CardDAV password is incorrect<\/span>, you may need to reset it.\u00a0<\/span>To do this, all you have to do is reset your <\/span>email password<\/span>. Then try logging in again with the <\/span>correct password<\/span>. It should now work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Set Up iPhone CardDAV<\/strong><\/p>\n

Setting up a <\/span>CardDAV account<\/span> on your <\/span>iPhone<\/span><\/a> isn\u2019t complicated, but there are specific <\/span>setup directions<\/span> you need to follow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/b> Go to <\/span>Settings > Contacts<\/b>. Then click on <\/span>Accounts > Add Account<\/b>. On the screen that appears, click <\/span>Other<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/b> Under <\/span>Contacts<\/b>, click <\/span>Add <\/b>CardDAV Account<\/b>. Enter your <\/span>server address<\/span> information: <\/span>mail.fastmetrics.com:80<\/b>. Don\u2019t leave out the 80 at the end. Otherwise, you might run into errors, and the <\/span>CardDAV sync<\/span> won’t happen properly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/b> Enter your email username by entering your account name and then your domain name in the parenthesis. For example, if your email account is <\/span>example@example.com<\/a>, you\u2019d enter <\/span>example(example.com)<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
