You can set distinctive incoming ringing tones for contacts in your local directory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To change the incoming ring to a desired sound:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press <strong>Menu<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Settings<\/strong> followed by <strong>Basic, Ring Type<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<em>Optional &#8211; If multiple lines are configured on your phone, first select the line to change from the list using the arrow keys.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Using <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-717\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/polycom-up.png\" alt=\"Up Arrow\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/> and <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-719\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/polycom-down.png\" alt=\"Down Arrow\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/>, select the desired ring type.<\/li>\n<li>Press the <strong>Play<\/strong> soft key to hear the selected ring type.<\/li>\n<li>Press the <strong>Select<\/strong> soft key to change to the selected ring type.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>Menu<\/strong> button or <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fastmetrics.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/06\/polycom-left.png\" alt=\"Left Arrow\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/> repeatedly to return to the idle display.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you configure your SoundPoint IP 335 phone for silent ring, press the <strong>Ringing Line key<\/strong> or the <strong>Answer<\/strong> soft key to answer the call. If your handset is off hook, the call is routed to the handset.
