Administer multiple metricSCRUB accounts
Most customers will not need to use this option. The Delegates selectionis for customers who have to administer multiple metricSCRUB accounts – for example if the a company has groups or mailing lists and they have assigned one person to be responsible for them, each mailing list or group will need to have the responsible party as delegate if that user does not want to log in to each account. Here is an example if how it works:
User1@anydomain.com has to administer 2 extra metricSCRUB accounts, they are firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com . User1 only wants to log in to 1 account to check for spam messages for all of them. For this to work he must log in at least once to each one of those two accounts and assign himself as the delegate on each one.
1. User1 has to log in to firstname.lastname@example.org he then clicks on Delegates, enters his own address in the Add Delegate field, if he wants to receive the email summary notifications for this account he can place a check mark on Receive Summaries, click Add when finished. He does the same for email@example.com.
The delegate will then be displayed on the list below. One account can have more than one delegate if needed, as long as the delegate they are adding exists in the filtering system, meaning you cannot use accounts that have domains like yahoo or gmail as a delegate.
2. User1@anydomain.com is now a delegate of both accounts, to view spam messages he has to log in to his own account.
When the delegate logs in he will notice a drop down menu on the top right corner of his main window, where he can select which account to check spam messages for. When you have one account selected it gives you full access to those particular accounts settings.
